Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie

Goodreads Storygraph

"On a remote, icy planet, the soldier known as Breq is drawing closer to completing her quest. Once, she was the Justice of Toren - a colossal starship with an artificial intelligence linking thousands of soldiers in the service of the Radch, the empire that conquered the galaxy. Now, an act of treachery has ripped it all away, leaving her with one fragile human body, unanswered questions, and a burning desire for vengeance."

...and so begins The Imperial Radch! If I loved this series less, I could talk about it more. Let me put it this way: do you like it when women are awful? do you wish TLT would have a scifi gender baby with The Left Hand of Darkness? do you play way too much Catan? If so, you may be entitled to financial compensation, but while you're holding your breath, you should read Ancillary Justice and enroll in the church of I Love Seivarden Vendaii So So Much.
